Well, yesterday was quite a good day for the Feast of the Seven Fishes—we kicked off our 2007 tour! After a signing at the Borders in Erie, PA, we headed on over to the Marzullo family home for a night of Luxardo sambuca, homemade wine, real Italian sausage and Enrico’s delicious pastries for dessert. Rough night.
It’s always great to party with Italians, and the Marzullo’s were no different. We heard stories about fishing and Christmas’ of years past, as well as met a whole lot of “cousins” (although apparently only a few are actually related). And the food… well, I think you get the idea. Delicious wouldn’t even begin to describe it.
There absolutely no better way to get in the Italian-American spirit than to have a real old-fashioned family party (complete with old Christmas tunes playing in the background), and we were all in a great mood and having a grand time—we credit the sambuca.
While it was nice to have that vibe, we’re excited to get out there and start meeting with the people—we can’t wait to see you at our event near you!
