Linguine with Clam Sauce

Sometimes having linguine and Italian tomato sauce can become a bore, no matter how good the sauce is. Well, simply adding clams is a great way to spice it up. Here is my recipe for a quick and delicious Linguine with Clam Sauce.

You will need:Clamsauce_6
2 pounds of little neck clams
1/3 cup of virgin olive oil
       4 cloves of garlic
2 large cans of tomato sauce
       Pinch of sugar and parsley
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
       1 pound of linguine
       Salt and Pepper
       Basic tomato sauce

How you do it:
       Make basic tomato sauce
Scrub clams under cold running water
Discard broken and not fully closed clams
Bring large pot of water to boil
Add pinch of salt once boiling
Cook pasta until tender or al dente if preferred
Add clams to basic tomato sauce
Cook until clams open up-usually a few minutes
       Combine pasta and sauce
Toss together-making sure everything is evenly distributed

Buon Appetito!
